Delivery giant Deliveroo is helping Veganuary attendees stick to their meat and dairy-free month by giving them access to free food.

Select plant-based outlets in the UK including Rebel Vegan, Mildred’s, Oowee Vegan, What the Pitta and many more are taking part.

It comes after Quitter Day, a national day every second Friday in January, when people typically drop their New Year’s resolutions.

How can I get free food from Deliveroo?

Starting today, Wednesday January 19, Deliveroo customers can use a special code to get cash back on their vegan orders.

The company is giving away 2,000 free credit codes to new and existing users. Each code is £5.00 and can be used at 188 restaurants.

To use it, simply enter “VECANUARY” when placing your order under the enter a promotional code field. Deliveroo maintains that a minimum order, delivery charge and service charge “may apply”.

In a statement sent to PBNAisha Jefferson from Deliveroo said: “We are changing Veganuary to Ve-CAN-uary this week.

So go the distance with your herbal promise and take advantage of one of our delicious incentives with £10,000 free discount codes.

Increase in vegan orders

Over the past year, vegan orders at Deliveroo have exploded. Twenty-one saw increases of 107%, with the category becoming the fastest growing category on the platform.

Likewise, 2022 is seeing increased popularity for vegan dishes. In the first week of January, the company says searches for “vegan” in the app increased by 153%.

Code “VECANUARY” is only available while supplies last, with one redemption allowed per person.
