It’s officially 2022, and while the weather can be cold and gloomy, many of us are starting the New Year off on the right foot by jumping into Veganuary.

The month-long challenge, which has been around for a few years now, sees people trying to eat only vegan foods for the thirty-one days of January.

Yes, not a single piece of meat or dairy for a whole month.

Found in the YES concert hall-dining hall hybrid, king of “vegan junk food” Doner Summer is truly changing the game of meatless burgers; I mean, look at those burgers!

Available both in and out, Doner Summer offers a selection of kebabs and burgers without meat or dairy products, including the Bad Girl Kebab consisting of “doner”, chicken with garlic, marinated pink cabbage, salad and a whole bunch of tasty and garlic sauces.

There’s also a choice of ‘chick’n’ fried burgers that are good enough to fool even the most seasoned KFC patrons.

Purezza in the North Quarter is the place to go if you’re looking for an all-vegan (and absolutely sensational) pizza; their menu features a long list of plant-based toppings, including vegan sausages, barbecued pulled “porcetta” and black truffle.

While not strictly a vegan restaurant, Delhi House Cafe, located inside the Corn Exchange, has a number of impressive vegan dishes perfect for vegans and beyond.

Herbal highlights include Avocado Aloo Chatt, which consists of fried avocado and fried potato in a mint and tamarind chutney. There is also the Tawa Dal Tadka, split pigeon lentils tempered with cumin and fragrant served with a tandoori roti.
