New vegan food truck launched in Gainesville, Florida

Great news, Florida vegans: a new vegan food truck, Plantology, is bringing vegan food to Gainesville! Joining three other food trucks at the area’s Midpoint Park and Eatery, this 100% plant-based business serves up homemade cheese burgers, loaded fries and mac bowls. The new spot, which opened on July 1, plans to bring quality vegan comfort food to the Gainesville crowd.

In addition to providing healthy and organic food options, owner Ryan Strandjord aims to incorporate sustainable business practices with the goal of contributing to a more compassionate planet. Plantology’s eco-friendly practices include offering organic produce – stock up on loaded fries! The all-vegan food truck also uses sustainable containers (either compostable or recyclable) and minimizes waste (something the restaurant industry is known for) as much as possible. But back to talking about the food!

In an effort to advance the vegan movement and encourage more people to try plant-based dishes, Strandjord plans to offer a menu that will appeal to vegans and non-vegans alike. As such, you’ll find traditional dishes with a heartwarming vegan twist on Plantology’s menu. From BBQ Sandwich to Buffalo Ranch Chik’n Sandwich to Bacun Slaw Mac Bowl (mac ‘n’ cheeze, tempeh bacun, slaw, ranch and special sauce), you can indulge your appetite. Don’t sleep on their Bacun Chedda Loaded Fries (organic fries, chedda, bacun, coleslaw, ranch and special sauce) or their Deluxe Burger (vegan burger, cashew chedda, BBQ chicken, lettuce, tomato and special sauce on a brioche bread)!

Plantology is located at 931 SW 2nd Ave, Gainesville, FL 32601 in Midpoint Park and Eatery. Their hours are from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Saturday. For more information, follow Plantology on Instagram (@plantologiealiments) or visit their website at PlantologyFoods.com.
