Odd Burger launches line of vegan foods via Sysco
Vegan QSR Odd Burger is launching a line of vegan products under the name Preposterous Foods, according to a press release.
Preposterous Foods offers a line of minimal and minimally processed ingredients including whole foods like chickpeas, oats, and wheat gluten. The initial launch will feature 10 products, including a “chickUN” crispy burger, meatless wings, ground beef, gyro meat, breakfast sausages, dairy-free ranch dressing, “honey” mustard, tzatziki sauce, egg-free mayonnaise and dairy products. -free cheese sauce.
The Preposterous Foods range will be distributed by Sysco, offering the brand more than 330 distribution locations worldwide.
“It may sound silly, but indulgent food can be healthy, and healthy food can be indulgent,” Odd Burger co-founder and CEO James McInnes said in the statement. “With new innovations and upgrades to our manufacturing facility, we are now able to produce plant-based protein and other treats on a large scale for wider distribution, and bring totally absurd foods to a market wider.”
Odd Burger has six fast food outlets, 11 of which are in development, and plans to have 20 restaurants operational by this time next year. The brand is based in Canada.
