Stavis Seafoods promotes its chairman to CEO

There’s a new chef at the helm of Stavis Seafoods. David Lancaster, who has barely a year under his belt as the company’s president, assumes the role of CEO.

With 30 years of experience in the seafood industry, Lancaster will lead the brand into a new phase of growth, a company official said. “During his tenure as Chairman, David has proven himself to be a leader capable of navigating uncertain times and capitalizing on new opportunities. David fostered an environment of positivity and collaboration and led Stavis to exceed his goals, which which has directly led to increased margins and growth with new opportunities. We have seen what kind of leader David is and the positive impact his leadership has brought to Stavis Seafoods, congratulations David on another well-deserved promotion” , said Enrique Garcia, CEO of parent company Profand Group.

Prior to becoming Chairman and, now, CEO, Lancaster served as Vice President of Sales for Stavis from 2020 to 2021. His previous industry experience includes serving as Vice President of Sales for fresh seafood merchant Red’s Best in Boston, owner of Interbay Seafoods in the port of Yarmouth, Mass., and general manager of Wellfleet Shellfish in Eastham, Mass.

Founded in Boston in 1929, Stavis Seafoods is now owned by global fish and seafood maker Profand Group. Stavis’ brands include SeaTru, BOS’N, Prince Edward, Foods From the Sea, Boston Pride and the Profand brand, among others.
