Vegan and Vegetarian Food Carts to Visit in Portland

Food carts are a central part of Portland’s dining scene, and it’s no surprise that vegans and vegetarians are spoiled for choice. After all, the city is famous for its creative meatless dishes and even has an all-vegan food cart. Almost every cart in town offers at least one vegan item, but this map focuses on the all-vegan food carts, those serving grilled cactus tacos, Ethiopian vegetable platters, fried seitan catfish and more so in Portland proper and beyond.

The points on this map are unranked; rather, they are organized geographically. This map does not include food carts which also have a brick and mortar location. For more vegan and vegetarian meals, browse Eater’s full card collection.

A number of Portland restaurants have resumed on-site service. The level of service offered is indicated on each point of the map. However, this should not be seen as an endorsement of eating there, as there are still safety issues. For up-to-date information on coronavirus cases in your area, please visit the Oregon Health Authority COVID Update Page. Studies indicate that there is a lower risk of exposure outdoors, but the level of risk from patio dining depends on restaurants adhering to strict social distancing and other safety guidelines.
